Military training
requires that the instructor have full control over the progress of a
networked training session, but not be overwhelmed with micromanagement and
information overload. Steel Beasts Professional provides effective tools to achieve just that.
The instructor can move freely across the battlefield as if he
were located in an invisible helicopter. He can tether his view to any
battlefield unit while still being able to adjust the observer position and
viewing magnification. He can view all vehicles on either side of the
battle in the map display, or view only the units that one side has detected.

Various tools allow the instructor to add a guiding hand during a
network training session if necessary. The instructor can relocate units
instantaneously or inflict any damage (and/or repair it) on any unit at any
time. He can destroy or resurrect units. He can instantly bring down
artillery as he wishes.
Being able to prepare a training session by scripting alternative routes
and/or the appearance of reinforcements through the spawn function helps to
reduce the time needed to manage opposing
force during a training session, so more time can be devoted
to actually observing the students, and monitoring the progress of the exercise
itself. |
