During a mission in Steel Beasts Professional, students can call for and adjust fire using dialog boxes that are
similar in concept to those in FBCB2. This, combined with a playable fire support vehicle
(FIST-V)
elevates Steel Beasts to a combined arms combat tactical trainer for the
company team level and below.
The artillery model in Steel Beasts Professional allows the instructor to
create accurate force structures for a variety of doctrines. The number of tubes per platoon, and
the number of platoons can be selected. Fire support requests can be limited to forward observer units, and human
players. Access priority can be given to up to three units in a scenario.
Up to five different munition types can be made available (or denied) to
each force. Finally, it is possible to
define priority targets, and set target reference points accordingly.
